Remote Video Factory Audit

You, the factory and us, live. We walk the floor on camera, ask the questions that get evasive answers, and send you the recording with a written read-out — so you see the plant without buying the ticket.

In short: a live three-way video session — you, the factory, and us interpreting — walked against a published checklist and recorded from start to finish. We film the lines, the warehouse and the QC bench, ask the awkward questions in Mandarin, and send you the footage plus a written read-out. From US$450.

The reason this works is unscripted movement. A supplier can send you a beautiful video of somebody’s factory. It is considerably harder to walk where the buyer points, on camera, while being asked follow-up questions in Chinese.

What we walk through

Production lines

Machinery, condition, staffing, whether the lines are running, and whether the process matches what they described in the quotation.

Materials and warehouse

Incoming materials, storage conditions, finished-goods stock, and whether volumes are consistent with the capacity claimed.

Quality control

The QC station, test equipment, whether it is powered and used, and how a defect actually gets recorded and dealt with.

The awkward questions

Whose plant is this, which legal entity operates it, which entity will invoice, and who else do they make this product for.

How it works

  1. You brief us. Product, the specification that matters, and anything you already suspect. We turn that into a checklist and send it to you first.
  2. We arrange the session. Scheduled around your timezone where possible, with the factory briefed on what will be covered — consent to film is obtained in advance and recorded.
  3. We walk it live. Interpreted both ways, recorded in full, following the checklist and your questions.
  4. You get the pack. The recording, the completed checklist, and a written read-out separating what was verified from what could not be.

When to use it, and when not

Use it whenDo something else when
You are choosing between two or three shortlisted plantsA standard or a customer requires accredited third-party inspection — use an accredited inspection firm
The order is meaningful but not large enough to justify a flightYou need pre-shipment inspection of a specific batch — that is a different service
Something in the story does not add upYou need a documented file for a regulator — see the compliance file
Consent, and why we insist on it. We film only with the supplier’s agreement, recorded in advance, and we tell them what the footage will be used for. Covert recording would be unlawful, and a file you cannot show anyone is not worth commissioning.
