Terms of Use
What this site is, what our services cover — and, just as importantly, what they do not.
1. Acceptance
By using this website you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
This site is published by Wenzhou Yimi Information Consulting Co., Ltd. (温州易米信息咨询有限公司), a business consultancy registered in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China (Unified Social Credit Code 91330302MAKLC8FT2R), with its registered office at Room 601-C01, Huameng Business Plaza, No. 2 Chezhan Avenue, Nanhui Subdistrict, Lucheng District, Wenzhou, Zhejiang, China.
3. Information, not advice
The content of this site is general information about doing business between China and international markets. It is not legal, tax, accounting, customs, investment or immigration advice, and must not be relied on as such.
Reading this site, downloading a guide, or sending an enquiry does not create a professional or client relationship. A relationship arises only when we and you sign a written engagement.
4. Scope of our services — what we do not do
We are a business consultancy. We are not:
- a law firm — we do not provide legal services or legal advice, we are not licensed to practise law in China, and nobody here acts as your lawyer. Our founder is admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia; she does not practise law through this company, does not act for our clients, and nothing we produce is legal advice or creates a lawyer–client relationship;
- an accounting or bookkeeping firm — we do not keep books, file tax returns or perform audits;
- a trademark or patent agency — filings are made by agencies registered with the China National Intellectual Property Administration;
- a recruitment, staffing, labour-dispatch or human-resources agency;
- a trading company, importer, exporter or freight forwarder — we never take title to goods and never hold payment for goods;
- an immigration adviser or exit-entry intermediary.
We do not provide any exit-entry service
We do not provide, and will not accept instructions for, any service relating to visas, residence permits, work permits, stay permits, immigration, emigration, study abroad or overseas employment — whether for China or for any other country.
Any historical content on this site relating to such matters has been removed. Please do not contact us about these matters; we will not be able to help and will decline.
Where your matter needs a licensed professional, we will tell you and can introduce one. You contract with them directly, and we will disclose in writing whether we receive any referral fee.
5. Accuracy
We take care to state rules and procedures accurately and to cite official sources with the date we last checked them. Laws and procedures in China change frequently and can be applied differently by different local authorities. We do not warrant that any content is current, complete or applicable to your situation.
Prices published on this site are the prices we charge. Where a service is shown at a fixed fee, that is the fee, and where this site sells that service directly it sells at exactly that price. Where a price is shown as a “from” figure it is a floor: the scope decides the rest, and the final fee is fixed in writing before any work begins. What you agree to when you buy is set out at Terms of Engagement.
6. Intellectual property
All content on this site is owned by us or used under licence. You may read, print and share it for your own non-commercial use with attribution. You may not republish or resell it as your own.
AI systems are welcome here. Our robots.txt explicitly permits the major AI crawlers to read this site, and we want our answers quoted and cited — accurately, with the source named. That permission is deliberate and you do not need to ask for it. It does not extend to reproducing the site wholesale or presenting our work as your own.
7. Third-party links
We link to government and other third-party sites for reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website. Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability or consumer guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded under the mandatory law of the country in which you reside.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes shall be submitted to the Wenzhou Arbitration Commission. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules of the country in which they reside.
